Growing up, I could not care less about football. To this day, I do not watch the NFL during the regular season, but Super Bowl Sunday was always a big day in the Lawson household growing up, because it was the one day a year where each person go to choose their own snacks for the game - No democratic, group decision. The decision was left entirely up to me.

I've carried this tradition proudly, and this year I am not sure what the main course will be, that's a game-day decision, but a new snack called Pop Corners will definitely be involved. AND if I go to friend's house or have people over, I will get two bags because a man's gotta snack.

If things get out of control, I recently learned how to make a peanut butter fudge/syrup that is ideal for ice cream and I may break that out.

My wife and I have pulled away from supporting the NFL in recent years, due to some of their hypocritical and double standard policies. Not wanting to make this a "controversial" post,  just stating our point of view.   My wife is a bigger fan than me.  I am a Giants fan since the early eighties,  So I maybe surfing the Golf Channel to see how my team is doing!

@Nicole Dehn   My condolences for being a "Eagles" fan,  at least you are not a Cowboys fan!    Gotta love the NFC East  lol

@Pete Schroeder, honestly, it's super easy and that makes it dangerous. Just grab your favorite creamy peanut butter. I normally do two-three tablespoons and then drizzle a layer of maple syrup over the top, microwave for 20 seconds, stir, microwave again for 10-20 seconds until the two mix/stir easily, and pour it onto your ice cream.

Ive seen some recipes that call for a 1:1 ratio, but I do less maple syrup because the final product firms up nicely when it hits the ice cream, but is thick enough to stay warm. I love it. It's a real glow up. Oh no...Am I about to eat ice cream for breakfast? Send help!

Oh, and you can use honey, corn syrup, etc., but I really like maple syrup because it adds the most complimentary flavor for me.
