Is it possible to assign same sites to Phone Edge Assignments in Site setting?

  • 1.  Is it possible to assign same sites to Phone Edge Assignments in Site setting?

    Does anyone know below scinario is possible or not?

    -Site structure

    Core Site: Multiple premise Edges(like 3 Edges)

    Branch Site A: Only Phones

    Branch Site B: Only Phones

    -Phone Edge Assignments in Site A setting

    Primary Site -> Core SIte

    Secondary Site -> Core Site

    Assigned same Sites to the setting.


    #SIP/VolP
    #Telephony

    Yes, this will work, but even though you are specifying primary and backup as the same site, you don't really have redundancy.  Better to use a Hybrid setup where you can have phones register to Core Site and Cloud.  That would offer optimal reliability.
