  • 1.  Upcoming Messenger Improvement: Launcher Persistence after Proactive Trigger

    All - we are planning to improve Messenger behavior when Launcher Button Visibility is configured with "Hide until triggered by business logic": with current behavior, once conversation starts after a proactive invite, Messenger will remain visible across site navigation as long as it is not minimized. We also noticed that if Messenger is minimized while conversation is in progress (although unlikely), then it will not restore across new page (re)loads, which is not ideal and deserves improvement: behavior can be customized with business logic on the page (JavaScript) to handle this scenario as appropriate, but feel Messenger needs to automatically restore in this event, basically whenever the Messaging Session is still active, to prevent cases where End-User cannot access existing session.

    Angelo,

    When you say site navigation, are you referring to cross-domain navigation or just pages in the same domain?  I believe the biggest complaint is starting on a page in one domain and moving to a page in another domain where the session is lost completely.

    Messenger improvement described here is for navigation within the same domain.
