WebRTC traffic has to be translated to SIP in order to communicate with the edge. The "Gjoll" servers (part of the Genesys Cloud microsystems) are on the internet...no way to keep that traffic on the LAN.
SRTP can have a direct path to the Premises Edge. See section E of the detailed diagram:

Subject: WebRTC phone communication Traffic
Hi All,
I have a customer with an on-premise Edge. They have two network ports configured on the Edge, Port 1 - WAN port, Port 2 - LAN port. they have WebRTC clients inside of the Organization. They would like the clients inside the organization to use the media traffic to route via the LAN port to save on bandwidth.
The help site does show some diagrams with this connectivity symmetric NAT, however, there is no clear documentation for how to achieve this. We have tried to add the WebRTC phone trunk to the WAN and LAN ports but the traffic still flows through the WAN port only.
We want WebRTC UDP traffic flows only LAN port instead of the WAN port.
Does anyone know how we can achieve A symmetric NAT?
Regards,
