I found that you can enact a 2FA disablement in two ways:
-
If you have a host carrier- we had Twilio
-
Directly in the WA account for that number itself (which we could not do because it was a new number that we were importing)
-
Twilio took about 7 days to disable it so time with your carrier closely so it aligns with your go live.
Since then we have successfully onboarded or migrated 5-6 other WA accounts into Genesys through the embedded workflow.
Hope that helps,

How did you solve it? Can you share your experience?

Painful but figured this out. Gave recommendations to the documentation to the author. : ) We got one integrated now working on four more.

Yes, we have done this for several customers and it seems to have some quirk for every one that is different. We mostly see issues with not following the wizard exactly or the way the account security was setup. I have not had a customer yet with multiple WhatsApp accounts, so I can guess there will be some other issues with that as well. Have you run into specific problems?
