PureCloud for Salesforce is an HTML5 application that runs inside Salesforce in a web browser. You do not need to install any software on the agent’s workstation. The integration uses JavaScript and web services to make and receive calls and events from the Salesforce and Genesys APIs. See the PureCloud for Salesforce architecture diagram for more details: https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/purecloud-for-salesforce-architecture/.

    Hi Amy,

We have installed PureCloud for Salesforce(Classic) in house on developers SF, and the PureCloud component is embedded inside SF, and when changing tabs in SF the PureCloud component refreshes and delays any action. The question is can you have the PureCloud outside the SF web browser and still be fully integrated. With SF Lightning it does not refresh

    Regards

    Darrell

    Hi Darrell,

Your description of the behavior of PureCloud for Salesforce is correct. In Classic, the client refreshes. In Lightning, it does not. PureCloud for Salesforce can only exist inside Salesforce. The client behavior is dictated by Salesforce constraints.

    Thanks,

    Amy
