We are moving to 2017 R1 P5 and adding switchover Dialer functionality to our infrastructure. We had a CIC switchover and it seems to have triggered a Dialer switchover. Is this an intended behavior? I did not see anything regarding this in the Switchover TR or Dialer documentation. Thank you.

Sorry...can you clarify? Do you mean that the Campaign Server switchover also switched from primary Campaign Server to the backup Campaign Server? Dialer Server is installed on the IC server, so when CIC switches Dialer Server has to switch, but Campaign Server runs on a separate machine so I wouldn't expect it to switch with CIC.

Both the CCS servers and the CIC servers have ping timeouts so if there was a network event which caused the CIC servers to switch over it could also cause the CCS servers to switch over. Did you look at the switchover logs to see why the servers switched over?
