  • 1.  Genesys Cloud Subscription Name Updates in the Resource Center

    Genesys Cloud subscription name updates

    Over the next few months, the Genesys Cloud Resource Center will update subscription names for consistency and alignment across Genesys. Starting September 28, 2022, the updated subscription names will appear in the Genesys Cloud Release Notes. The subscription name updates will be available in other Resource Center locations in future releases.

     Please see below the changes we will be making.

    Currently subscription name

    Genesys Cloud CX 1

    Genesys Cloud User 2

    Genesys Cloud CX 2

    Genesys Cloud User 3

    Genesys Cloud CX 3

    Genesys Cloud User 1 Digital Upgrade II

    Genesys Cloud User 1 WEM Upgrade II

    Genesys Cloud CX 1 WEM Add-on II

    Genesys Cloud User 2 WEM Upgrade I

    Genesys Cloud CX 2 WEM Add-on I

    Hi Katie,

    We've recently seen in the last few weeks a  new licence type appear "Digital Essentials I" but couldn't find any explanation of what this new licence type is?

    Hi Jeff -- Thanks for pointing that out, the Digital Essentials I license should be removed, I will follow up with them teams on that to get that license removed from the UI, this was an initiative we worked on earlier in the year and will be replaced with new Digital seats we will be releasing soon.  More to come on that new seat time soon!

    Hi Katie,

    Can you confirm if this will change the underlying name in the API? This was updated in February/March 2022 to cloudCX3 from Purecloud 3 and a customer is using this to capture the license allocated to users.

    No impact to the names in the API, these are just resource center name changes.
