    Hello All,

We have a customer interested in enabling GC WFM integration with a DB to use the API and retrieve time-off balances from there instead of connecting directly to the HR system itself. The time-off balance data will be in the DB, accessible via REST.

Could you please clarify is this is a feasible alternative for the HRIS integration?

    Thanks,

    Debora

The integration does not have to be to HRIS. Only requirements are that whatever is your backing store can provide all of the required actions noted in the following section: https://developer.genesys.cloud/blueprints/wfm-hris-blueprint/#hris-account-with-api-access

I am aware of one internal PS and one external customer that were going to go the non-HRIS route.

    Hi Debora,

As Jay mentioned, you are correct. You should be able to create a DB and use rest APIs to retrieve the balances and send Time off Requests into the DB. We have another client going the same route.
