  • 1.  Inbound Calls Extension Transfer to Specific Inbound Numbers

    Not sure if anyone have implement the below.

    Is it possible to make an extension only reachable by one phone number in PureCloud.

    Currently all our extensions are available via all inbound numbers.

    I am trying to make 4 of our extension only available for transfer via only 1 inbound number.

    This is what I would propose:

    1. Setup the 4 phones
    2. Setup 4 dummy users with each of those phones as the default station
    3. Setup a group and add these 4 users as broadcast and enable for voice calls
    4. Setup a number as a DID for that group

    Now that DID will ring to that group and ring the 4 phones since they are the default station for the users in the group.

    By "Extension", do you mean User or Station?

    Anyway, if it were me, I'd avoid extension numbers all together. If there are only 4, then just put IVR options for the 4 in question into the Flow for the number that should be able to reach them.

    We use a mixture of assigned extensions and "speed dials".  Rather than using the actual extension dialing function in Architect we do a Collect Input.  The input digits are first checked against a data table to see what user that speed dial is assigned to.  If nothing is found in the data table it then uses a data action to find which user is assigned that extension.  Somewhere in there you could add a field to the data table to indicate which ANI is allowed to call it.
