  • 1.  Update drop down list using list.push

    Posted 02-20-2024 00:34

    Hi,

I'm trying to create a dynamic drop down list based on the previously selected variable. The controlling variable is 'Reason'.

I've set the action on the first dropdown selection (Reason) to run the action below 'update list'. I've only shown the top part of the steps for setting the dynamic drop list to SR one
    SR two

This works - but I get an extra line in the drop down, and values list gets an extra comma at the start of the string.

Can anyone help me figure out how to tidy this up, avoiding the extra line and comma at the start of the string?

The top line is usually used as the title of the list.  It looks like the function is trying to take that into account, but not correctly.  This is one to open a bug ticket on.  That should either pull in a title or not insert the comma.  Let us know what support tells you, but I would guess this will have to go to development.  @Chad McCormick, who does scripts these days?

Thanks for that reply - I've raised a case.

While I think that List.Push could be the way to go, is there any other option(s) which you would recommed for dynamic drop downs?
