  • 1.  Wireless Headset Help

    Hello All,

    I am new to managing a call center that uses Genesys and need some help. My team uses a Sales Force Embedded version of Genesys and we are having a hard time finding a Bluetooth wireless headset that we can utilize the call controls on. My team provides technical support and frequently works away from their desks. Currently, they need to run back to their desks to pick up the next call coming in. It would be a huge benefit if they could just answer the call where they are. All help and advice would be appreciated!

    Hi Christopher, 

    This is challenging, but I'm hoping others will be better able to advise you. Most Bluetooth connections are approximately 30 feet, but some have a more extended range. There are Bluetooth transmitter-receivers that can range up to 100 meters (300 feet), such as Haavitek.  I would recommend  BlueParrott B550-XT Bluetooth Headset to see if this would work for your agents. Potentially up to 300 feet of wireless range, but it depends on the walls in the office. Along with a Bluetooth transmitter receiver, this might work for you.

    Hey Chris,

    Have you considered going for a DECT headset instead of Bluetooth? They tend to have a much greater range and I have heard reports of less interference if you have a lot of them in a confined space.

    You may also find that the accompanying software will have the additional functionality you desire.
