    How to connect call flows in Genesys Cloud to an on-premise VXML IVR application? I see documents on this using Genesys Voice Platform (link below).

    GVP Call Flows (genesys.com)

    Can Genesys Cloud do that?

    Hi Karthi,

    Can you use an example of this connect call flow?

    Genesys Cloud connects with any external resources through API for data, or transfer to call send UUI information or x-genesys header - Genesys Cloud <-> Genesys Engage GVP.

    Yes, best to look at UUIData and/or SIP headers from GVP into GCx, that is if you have a SIP trunk between the two systems. Barring that, you need to work through API's on both side to write information to a data table in GCx or other external database to exchange information.

    Genesys is telling me this. 

    "we are unable to see any good solution to use the external VXML in the Genesys Cloud application"

    What are my choices to transfer calls to an external VXML IVR application without using SIP?

    Karthi, you need a trunk sip for transfer to voice call If you use a hybrid environment with Genesys Engage and Genesys Cloud.

    I was kind of thinking he might be asking about taking the VMXL for GCP and converting it to YAML for GCx.  That would be nifty.

    We have an app server (VXML) and Nuance based speech server. I need Genesys Cloud to do https to this app server and initiate an voice application. Passing the data can be done via API. I don't have any questions on that. My concern is connecting voice from Genesys Cloud to an app server. 

    Ther is no GVP in our setup. Since GVP can do that, I was hoping Cloud can also do the same.
